There are probably many ways.
One way without downloading any other programs... do a Print Screen to clipboard; open MS Paint; paste from the clipboard; save the file as .jpg. |

A screen capture of JUST the image would be better then doing a Prt Scr which is a complete screen capture. With a complete screen capture you need to crop image out, so it would be better to use a good screen capture tool like FastStone Capture (version 5.3 only is free). This free program also allows a scrolling capture and other options, but the one you want for capturing images from Word (or any similar program) is the selection tool by pressing Ctrl + Prt Scr when the app is open or running in the SysTray.
Dump MS Paint and use a much, much better program, also free, called GetPaint.net. Here's more: FREE software: http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/ http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ http://www.inkscape.org/download/ (Very good for vectored graphics) FREE online photo editors: http://www.splashup.com/ http://www.blibs.com/editor/ (I like this one best) http://www.onlineimageeditor.info/ http://fotoflexer.com/ http://lunapic.com/editor/ http://vectormagic.com/ http://www.flauntr.com/ http://www.gifworks.com/image_editor.html (GIF format only) This post has been edited by Major Payne: Jan 10 2009, 11:54 AM |

Add to that list of freebies: IrfanView. Download from CNet site
http://download.cnet.com/IrfanView/3000-21...&tag=button It's basic, but very quick to load, and therefore great for quick screen dumps - load, paste, crop and save in desired jpg format (or many others) in seconds. Not one for cut and paste within a pic, though - you need more power for that. But good for what it does, and it's produced many a Google maps dump for me (and greyscaled it for cheap printing) db This post has been edited by deeplyblue: Aug 27 2009, 04:06 PM |
