I'm having a big problem with my sound. I'm hoping someone here can help as my computer manufacturer was unable to do so.

Here is the problem:

I have iTunes and can hear sounds through it. I can hear my music and any videos I watch. I can watch DVDs through Windows Media Player. I can hear perhaps 1 .wav file. Other than that, I have no sound. I cannot hear sounds on websites (YouTube, MySpace, etc.) Outside of that one .wav file, I cannot hear any .wav files. My audio driver is a Conxant AC Link Audio. I have downloaded and installed numerous updates for this driver, and have had no success. I've tried downloading directly from HP's website, and nothing has worked. I tried going through the online chat with HP/Compaq and again, it did not work. Also, my quick launch volume control buttons on my laptop no longer work and I no longer have the small sound control icon in my toolbar.

In addition to this, I had installed software that came with a camera I bought for my young son. The driver for the camera was 913d. I cannot uninstall it and I cannot restore my system to a point prior to installing this camera software/driver.

Please, can someone help me. This is getting really annoying.
