Hi Geeks to Go wub.gif

I have a corrupt .PNG image file that everytime I try to open it, it freezes the program that Im using. And then, when I try to delete it, it says "File currently in use. Unable to delete." But it is not currently in use. So I am wondering if there is something else going on, maybe I have a trojan or something that is causing this file to become corrupt.

Here is my HiJack This logfile. Thank you sooo much! wub.gif

I see no reason to believe this is a malware problem.

Try using Killbox with the Delete on Reboot option to delete the file in question.

Click Here and download Killbox and save it to your desktop.

* Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Put a tick by Delete on Reboot.
  • In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, type the path to the file.
  • Click on the button that has the red circle with the X in the middle.
  • It will ask for confimation to delete the file on next reboot and ask you if you want to reboot now.
  • Click Yes and let the computer reboot.

If this doesn't solve your problem, you will need to start a topic in the XP forum to get the help you need.
