Hi all. When trying to run a scan with Ad-Aware, my laptop crashes. The screen turns blue, and it suggests that something with the memory is wrong. After boot an error comes up with the signature BCCode : 1000007f BCP1 : 00000008 BCP2 : 80042000 BCP3 : 00000000 BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1 I've run HiJackThis, and the log file from that is as following: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 15:10:15, on 23-10-2008 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.5730.0011) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\aawservice.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel Matrix Storage Manager\iaantmon.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE C:\Program Files\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\SAVAdminService.exe C:\Program Files\Sophos\AutoUpdate\ALsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel Matrix Storage Manager\iaanotif.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxpers.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\RunDLL32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\PuXpMan.exe C:\Program Files\HP\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd.exe C:\Program Files\HP\hpcoretech\hpcmpmgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxsrvc.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\Program Files\Sophos\AutoUpdate\ALMon.exe C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe C:\Program Files\InterVideo\Common\Bin\WinCinemaMgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\msfeedssync.exe C:\Program Files\Skype\Plugin Manager\skypePM.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R0 - Don't put the logs in bold
Download ComboFix from one of these locations: Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 * IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures. ![]() Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message: ![]() Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply. |
