Hello:

I built a personal website for family and friends. It contains information about my family because all of ours live in other states.

Please visit my site and let me know what you think.

One thing I'd like to change, but am not sure how just yet, is how to make the pages scale properly for different resolutions.

http://www.babybonline.net

We don't sell anything there so I doubt this could be considered spam.

Thanks,

Magus

Maybe not spam, but certainly not in the right place. Lets try the "Review My Site" forum.

Hi Magus:

Guess no one is going to answer this one for you. tongue.gif Trying to get your pages to view correctly in different resolutions is rather tricky. You can redesign your pages to make them highly flexible using the proper CSS and page layouts or go to using JavaScript to sniff out user's resolution and use the appropriate page and CSS for each resolution. Might look through some of the links on this Google search page.

Ron

P.S. This is an example of one JS method, but has the disadvantage that some viewers may have JS turned off in their browsers:

CODE
<script language="JavaScript1.2">
<!--

if (screen.width==800||screen.height==600) //if 800x600
window.location.replace("http://yourdomain.com/index800.html")

else if (screen.width==640||screen.height==480) //if 640x480
window.location.replace("http://yourdomain.com/index640.html")

else if (screen.width==1024||screen.height==768) //if 1024x768
window.location.replace("http://yourdomain.com/index1024.html")

else //if all else
window.location.replace("http://yourdomain.com/index800.html")

//-->
</script>

Hello,
I liked the site. As you said this is a family web site and that is exactly what it looked like! PLEASE NOTE I KNOW ABSOLUTLY NOTHING ABOUT WEB SITE DEVELOPMENT!!! I did not have any problems viewing the pages but I did not look at any of the photographs. All in all a nice job.
