DNS server for static IP address, computer won't tell me the right DNS servers

OS: windows XP
i would ring my ISP to find out, but i don't like making phonecalls as i am quite paranoid, my router's acting as a proxy between the actual name servers and my computer, is there a way of finding my actual DNS server on the internet or through the modem? i'm running a seimens speedstream 4200 ethernet USB ADSL modem if that helps at all, and i'm creating the static IP address so i can use port forwarding properly with utorrent, any advice would be much appreciated

Your ISP knows your IP (Internet Protocol) address. A DNS (Domain Name Server) server hosts a website. Your DSL is most likely assigned a static IP. I don't think I understand your question, so could you please rephrase it? Keep in mind we can give no assistance with P2P applications.
