DOS programs not working in Windows XP, Dos programs do not execute in XP

OS: windows xp



I have tried to execute several of my dos programs, which shows error message and retun without executing in Windows XP platform.

Can you advice the reason for the above.

Is it your dos programs not working or is it the actual command prompt ?
You could always try typing in command.com in notepad and saving it as a batch file (using the file format .bat and changing the settings to all files)
