I have recently installed Windows XP Pro on my computer. When I tried to play a DVD in Windows Media Player, it only plays the sounds but the background remains black.

I tried using a different player, and it says "Create Overlay failed. Please lower your screen resolution or color depth and try again."

I already troubleshoot my screen resolution and color depth, but it did not seem to solve the problem.

I also updated Windows Media Player and installed the latest DirectX as directed, but it also did not solve the problem.

One of the troubleshooter said that the problem might be my Display Adapter or something like that. It also tells me to run "dxdiag" and here is the report:

I went to my manufacturer's website (www.hp.com) and downloaded the update "ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Graphics Driver Update".
