Background info:Hi, gr8joel here once again, asking for help. Well, my brothers laptop is a very old gateway laptop, and he bought it a couple of months ago in order to use it for school. He recently became a teachers aid and racked up some money to pay for Norton Anti-Virus 2008 and it has worked. There's only one problem that seems to keep me thinking that his computer is still infected....

Problem: The desktop background keeps on changing to "Active Desktop Recovery". Its just the white screen now, and every time I push the button that says "Restore my active desktop" , it doesnt work, but only returns an "Internet Explorer Script Error". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much

p.s. if this includes posting any logs, if a keylogger or keygen or serials pop-up, i promise you as i have told Egwene , we were completely unaware of this, because my brother (richard) and i (Joel) have purchased our laptops used for the purpose of college, and had no idea of previously installed apps.
