Last year, a virus infected my computer, and a little box came up saying that my computer was infected. I got rid of the virus, however, there is now a little box that has not left the upper right hand corner of my desktop. Everytime I try to put up a new picture for my desktop background, the box interferes, and ruins it. I've had it! I want to get rid of it, however, I don't know how. Can someone help me? When I look under the properties option of the box, this is what I get:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

<html>

<head>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="res://ieframe.dll/ErrorPageTemplate.css" />

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

<title>Navigation Canceled</title>

<script src="res://ieframe.dll/errorPageStrings.js" language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
</script>
<script src="res://ieframe.dll/httpErrorPagesScripts.js" language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
</script>
</head>

<body onLoad="java script:navCancelInit(); ">

<table width="730" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">

<!-- Error title -->
<tr>
<td id="infoIconAlign" width="60" align="left" valign="top" rowspan="2">
<img src="res://ieframe.dll/info_48.png" id="infoIcon" alt="Info icon">
</td>
<td id="mainTitleAlign" valign="middle" align="left" width="*">
<h1 id="mainTitle">Navigation to the webpage was canceled</h1>
</td>
</tr>

<tr>
<!-- This row is for HTTP status code, as well as the divider-->
<td id="errorCodeAlign" class="errorCodeAndDivider" align="right">&nbsp;
<div class="divider"></div>
</td>
</tr>

<!-- Error Body -->

<!-- What you can do -->
<tr>
<td>
&nbsp;
</td>
<td id="whatToTryAlign" valign="top" align="left">
<h2 id="whatToTry">What you can try:</h2>
</td>
</tr>

<!-- refresh page -->
<tr>
<td >
&nbsp;
</td>
<td id="refreshPageAlign" align="left" valign="middle">
<h4>
<table>
<tr>
<td valign="top">
<img src="res://ieframe.dll/bullet.png" border="0" alt="" class="actionIcon">
</td>
<td valign="top">
<span id="navCancelContainer"></span><noscript id="refreshPage">Refresh the page.</noscript>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</h4>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>

Can someone help me figure out what this means so I can get rid of the box!! I really ned help!!!

No one seems to have tried to help you yet so I'll see if I can get you going in the right direction. Obviously you still have something unwanted on your system, the problem is to find where it is and remove it. If you haven't been the malware forum route you may want to go there now but there are a few things you can check on first.

You can try to locate some of the files listed on your computer, especially the ieframe.dll. Also you can look in msconfig to see if there is anything related to the problem running or running at startup. You can also disconnect from the web and refresh the page to see if it is being downloaded from the web or residing in your machine. One thing is the page and it's contents may be normal software on your machine but something unwanted may be invoking it.

Right click on your Desktop>>Properties>>Desktop>>Customize Desktop>>>Web, remove any checks in boxes.
