Hi there,
I was wondering if anybody knew how to disable Google Gears completely in Google Chrome. I don't use it and don't really care to have it pop-up anytime I browse to a site that supports Gears. It seems simple enough but I couldn't find the solution anywhere.

Thanks and have a great day.

It appears it's not doable.

If you've installed Google Chrome, Gears is installed by default. To uninstall Gears for Google Chrome, you'll need to uninstall Google Chrome.

Sucks huh?
