Disk Boot Failure, help pls

OS: Windows XP
Hi i recently got a custom desktop from a family friend who was moving and handing things out. Its only a couple years old (windows xp), however i cannot boot up. First i had a problem with the floppy drive. I came across the error Floppy disk(s) fail (40) so i took apart the tower and noticed there isnt a floppy drive at all so i went to bios and disabled it. Now i am getting the error DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER. Now i have no disk for it and after reading how to make one i realized the comp doesn't have a floppy drive. any ideas how i can get by?

OS: Windows XP SP2; Windows Vista Ultimate SP1
Unplug all your USB Connections (exept for keyboard) and try to boot.
Sometimes the USB is higher in the boot sequence then the harddrive and will cause this error.
To change it go into the BIOS and change the boot order accordingly.
