OK, im gunna level with you all - I'm a noob. A big one, but i recently rebought Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth II and after installing it it wont let me actually get into the game. I checked the EA EasyInfo thing on the disc and it claims the only thing i "fail" on is the display memory. The game require 64mb but i apparently have o.o. Now i use the word "apparently" because as previously mentioned i have had the game already and it worked just fine. The only thing i have done since selling and rebuying is formatted my laptop. I've upgraded all the sony upgrades from the website yet it still hits me with the same message (which basically says i need direct x 9.0 (which i have) or a new card). I thought i might need to go on my bios (phoenix R004RJ2) and bump up the display memory but on BIOS i can't find any way to do this ie i cant find anything relating to display memory.
Anyone got any other suggestions?
Thanks, Griff

Hi,

Can you get a log for me please.

Please can you download and install Everest from HERE
Once its installed (leave all of the options just keep pressing next) double click on the shortcut.
Then once its running:
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post

Don't include anything under the line "DEBUG- PCI". The attached picture can be used for reference

~Thanks~ :)

Hi,

Yeah attach that also if you've got it. I'm just getting some point together to give you so if you can upload that it will help.

Also just to clarify you have run this game on this laptop before?

Thanks

Right ok.

EA is showing a very low graphics card driver version. Its possible that the easy system isn't compatible with your graphics chip but we will try an update to make sure. I know you said you did some updates but its worth a shot:
  • Click Here to start the Intel's driver update scan
  • Click on the Check your system for the latest drivers button
  • This will download the plugin and check for updates.

There could be a yellow bar that appears. If it does click it once and choose allow. Also make sure you have any pop up blockers disabled.

Then reply back with whether it has updated or not, also checking the game to test.
