Explorer.exe "possessed" turns on and off itself [RESOLVED], explorer.exe turns itself off randomly

Member Posts: 16 From: Ohio OS: Windows XP Sv Pack 2	Hello all I am new to the forums, and I have seen how you have helped many others in my rough computer situation. My explorer.exe turns off and on at uneven intervals, which turns off many of the programs working at the time *except for internet explorer, well atleast for now. I have ran Spybot Search and Destroy and found alot of malware (mostly cookie trackers, but there was also the vertumonde virus, which is now gone. After getting rid of these malware the problem did not stop. NoteL Explorer.exe turns off and on at uneven intervals than it just stops turning on. I turn it on in task manager and it starts all over again. So I was just wondering if one of you guys could help me, and tell me what to do next to help you help me.

Please be patient as this is not an automatic process. Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop. Close all other windows before proceeding. Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts. When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply. AVG Anti-Virus AntiVir If you decide to install another Antivirus please uninstall ZoneAlarm Security Suite Antivirus & as you have ZoneAlarm Firewall disabled, go ahead and uninstall that if you wish. We need to temporarily disable Teatimer (from Spybot Search and Destroy) as it could conflicts with the fixes that we are about to do. Spybot S&D (Teatimer) 1. Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode. 2.
