I am planning to build a new computer and have spec'd out the parts. I typically have several programs open at once and am also streaming from hulu at the same time on a second monitor. A number of the programs are photo related including Photoshop CS3.
I will reuse my two monitors (24 inch and 19 inch), keyboard and mouse and would like to set up a RAID 10 with the four hard drives. I typically don't store very much on the hard drives as all of my clients photographs are on externals or hot swappable internals. Are the 1 TB drives overkill? Anyway, here are the components. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Ok. I've done some more research and have changed a few of the components. I think I also forgot to mention that in addition to having Photoshop and several other programs running at the same time, one of those programs is Lightroom too.

 The system you have picked out looks good. 4TB might be slightly overkill, what exactly are you planning to store on this machine? For most people, even 1TB is enough storage for movies, games, music, etc. |
