Final Fantasy 8 PC version problem!

hey guys... me again... i recently installed the PC version of Final Fantasy VIII and everytime i start up the game it gives me a weird screen just before the EIDOS Interactive screen and my whole PC freezes up! can anyone help me plz??? helpsmilie.gif

well i recently upgraded to a AMD 64X2 Dual Core Processor 2.4GHz, 2048 MB RAM, 256MB PCI-Express GeForce 6800, on an ASUS M2N-MX mobo

Try downloading EAX.dll put it into the FF8 folder.

Try moving the ff8.exe file from the original folder to the folder before it. It should work.
