I hope this can still help you:

Go to Device Manager/Device Drivers

Disable microsoft UAA bus driver ...
Uninstall UAA bus driver

Install realtek driver and it will work.

I just joined this forum and I am a bit late with this but this will work. smile.gif

I had the same problem with MB ASUS P5KPL and I've solved it by removing some records from SystemRegister using Regedit...
Just type "UAA bus", find all records and delete them.

I rebuilt a machine with a C drive that has XP SP3. New mb is giving me all the driver issues that are known.

The other way wasn't working, so I decided to try yours. Regedit says I can't delete the entries and won't say why. Meanwhile, I can't even remove the Realtek install that failed. Add/Remove Programs claims it's installed, but won't do anything when I click to remove it.

I'm having no luck with sound. Any other suggestions on how to get it working are greatly welcomed.

It does, really! Thanks a lot!
For some time, I couldn't find the UAA entry in a new Belinea 17" notebook. But after removing an existing HDAUD??.sys (don't know the exact name anymore), the UAA entry appears as yellow one in the device manager. After removing it and installation of the Realtek driver successfully then, everything had been recognized after restart and it worked.
Thanks again from Germany,

Matthias
