Unfortunately a lot of web pages are loaded from several servers and the ones that are paid for by advertising will often not complete loading until all the ads are loaded. So if the ad site is slow or down, I've seen that often myself, the page will not load or load slowly. It has nothing to do with your machine, it is the script running on the page that prevents it from loading when the ads aren't there.

Hey help100,

What browser and version are you using? When you say Mozilla, do you literally mean the Mozilla browser, or a version of Firefox? Do you get the same slowdowns and problems if you use Safari?

Can you detail your "not able to login to HTTPS sites" problem a bit?

Rorschach112, Macs don't have an Add/Remove Programs control panel like PCs do, unless you're referring to Firefox's Extensions Manager, where you can add and remove extensions such as Google Toolbar. Is there a reason you think Google Toolbar could be the cause of these problems?

Hi Help100,

on Firefox you can use the plugin adblock plus, and if not needed on myspace, desactivate javascripts and java in the preferences.
