I just hooked up DSL. The High-speed was working perfectly and I shut down the PC, when I started the PC again I am unable to connect to the internet. My modemn is working because my laptop which I also setup has the WiFi and uses the same modemn hooked to the PC. I tried to ping the server from workstation computer and I receive error: Destination host unreachable. When I ping the server from the laptop using the same modemn I am able to ping helpsmilie.gif

I called for support as you will see attached and none of their solutions worked.

From what you say, it points to faulty USB or Ethernet cable from your modem to the PC, or (if you are using ethernet connectivity), the network card in the main PC may have packed up.

I have determined that the cord is not faulty as I have been able to use it with other PC's. How do I correct a 'packed up' network card?

Packed up is slang for broken basically. So maybe seeing if the card is faulty. Try the ethernet cord (if possible) in another port on the router.
