Hello and welcome to GeeksToGo Forums. We hope you enjoy your stay here! ;)

Feel free to contact me any time. Next time though don't post so many topics. :tazz:

Your version of HijackThis is out of date. Download the newest version, HijackThis v1.99.0.
Be sure to replace your old HijackThis.exe with this new one by saving over it.

You may want to print out these instructions or save them to your desktop as a text file with Notepad because we will be restarting into Safe Mode later on in the fix and you might not be able to access the Internet.

Place a checkmark next to these entries, close all browsers and windows, and have HijackThis fix them by clicking Fix Checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dqxorwgmzuthp] C:\WINDOWS\System32\mfkygmsv.exe

Reconfigure Windows XP to show hidden files:
Click Start. Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab.

Under the Hidden files and folders heading select "Show hidden files and folders".
Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option.
Uncheck the "Hide file extensions for known file types" option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.

Boot into Safe Mode:
Restart your computer and immediately begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard.
If done right a Windows Advanced Options menu will appear. Select the Safe Mode option and press Enter.
To return to normal mode just restart your computer as you normally would.

Please delete these files using Windows Explorer(if present):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\mfkygmsv.exe

Now you can restart the computer normally.
Please run HijackThis again and post a fresh log, just so I can make sure that all the malware was deleted according to plan.

I did not find the file mfkyg... exe in the system32 folder... so I ran the Hijack in save mode, and fixed the line... Then now, it seems to have disapear ? It was probably a malware ? Could it be the one that avoid IE to run fine ? No other strange thing in the log ?

Thanks very much !!
I will try IE tonight to see if it works without the Runtime Library error...

The message error is :

Runtime Error! Program:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

abnormal program termination"
and the title of the window is "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"

They're not malicious, just unnecessary. Next click "Start", "Search", and search for this file ie.inf when it is found, right click on it and click "Install" this will repair IE and OE, let me know what happens, I have a few more ideas.

Well, your log looks clean now. Try this IEFix utility:

Try this:
Place the Windows setup cd in the cdrom drive and click "Start", "Run" and type sfc /scannow make sure to leave 1 space between sfc and /scannow click ok. This will repair your System Files. If that does not work then follow the in structions at the link posted below.
