Hey Daverm,

Welcome to GeekstoGo!

If you think your computer is infected and don't know how to remove it, please head over to this topic and read the instructions there. Please make sure you read everything inside that topic. It gives you an introduction of what the Malware Removal - HijackThis™ Logs Go Here is about and provides preliminary steps to clearing up your computer. If your computer is still not functioning properly despite running the recommended tools, please download HijackThis (as said in the instructions) and scan your computer with it. Finally, post your HijackThis log in this forum to allow one of our malware staff to help you with your problems.

Due to the large number of logs we receive daily, there may be a delay in responding to your problem. Please note that the staff here are all volunteers who work for free to give the best support for our users, so try to be patient in waiting for a reply. If your topic has not received for 3 days or more, post a thread in The Waiting Room and a staff will get to you. Please do not post multiple topics on here or post multiple topics on several tech help sites as this is a waste of staff's time. Also, please do not PM any staff for tech help. We have sufficient forums for you to get all the help you need, please make good use of them.

Thanks for your cooperation and wish you good luck in getting your issue resolved! wink.gif

There are unnecessary processes running on your computer. Probably thats why it is slow. Kaspersky is a very good antivirus when updated. Make sure U perform a full system scan. About the processes or services, go to this site http://www.clankiller.com/tech/WinXP/servicestweaks.php

And when U want that password not to come up again, go to Control panel -- Appearance and themes -- Display. Select the screen saver tab. Then uncheck ("On resume password protect") and save changes! U r done. The short cut is right click the desktop and go to properties. U will go straight to the display properties. Then screen saver tab. Uncheck ("On resume password protect") and save changes! I hope thats helpful
