Have had clockgen a for a while its quite good. Ive just given up and use bios its easier to fix when things go wrong thanks to the handy cmos clear button.

It says that overclocking by raising with the FSB is pretty much self-explanatory, and yet I have no idea about how to do that. How would it be done?

If you have an nVidia card (GeForce ) , it has an internal overclock facility called "CoolBits". Enable "GPU Overclock from BIOS" and use coolbits in your display settings. If you cannot see it there, download "nVHardpage" from http://www.guru3d.com and also the latest detonator drivers.
Even if you have an inbuilt GPU on mobo, you can use it, but do it carefully. |

We Gigabyte Motherboards have our own program to overclock our cpu, its called EasyTune. Look at the gigabyte site, it comes with the motherboard driver cd. Link to download if you have lost the cd

Make sure you have a gigabyte mobo first if you use that, most mobo manufactureres bundle some kind of own brand overclocking software and hardware into the boards.

But where are the links? It makes mention to links several times...and doesn't really tell you how to overclock, just about overclocking and it's dangers.

for those using ATI cards, get AtiTool, it overclocks without having to open up ure comp, my x700 runs at 475MHz, when it starts off at 358 (360MHz)!!!!
dunno where i got it, but its reallu useful! |
