Well, here is my problem, I have a lot of applications, and sooner or later, they will take up my whole screen space when I click on Start -> All Programs

Without using the "Group Unused programs" feature, how do I phsysically remove them from the list without uninstalling them?

The wierd thing is, not all programs installed in the Programs folder are listed, so there has to be something that controls that...

thanks smile.gif,

In all programmes list, right click one, click delete, confirm, it should say this will not remove the programme

If you would rather keep your all Programs list and just reduce the amount of screen territory that it uses, rename the longest titles. The width of the columns is determined by the longest name. I had the same situation, and by reducing the length of the names to about 20 characters (and spaces) each, I reclaimed half of the screen.

I cleaned mine up by creating folders then sorting the many programs listed into them.
