QUOTE IE-SPYAD adds a long list of sites and domains associated with known advertisers, marketers, and crapware pushers to the Restricted sites zone of Internet Explorer. Once you merge this list of sites and domains into the Registry, the web sites for these companies will not be able to use cookies, ActiveX controls, Java applets, or scripting to compromise your privacy or your PC while you surf the Net. Nor will they be able to use your browser to push unwanted pop-ups, cookies, or auto-installing programs on your PC. Please note that IE-SPYAD is not an ad blocker. It will not block standard banner ads in Internet Explorer. What this Restricted sites list of known advertisers and crapware pushers will do, however, is:
IE-SPYAD comes in two different versions: IE-SPYAD (original) and IE-SPYAD2. For complete information, version choice and tutorials go to: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/uiuc/resource.htm IE-SPYAD users should consider using the newly released IE-SPYAD for ZonedOut, available below. This new version of IE-SPYAD uses the free ZonedOut security zones utility from FunkyToad to load and unload Restricted sites lists, making the management of sites in the Restricted sites zone much easier and more convenient. ZonedOut is available at: http://www.funkytoad.com/zonedout.htm The AGNIS block lists are compatible with AtGuard 3.x and ALL versions of Norton Internet Security. There is a separate AGNIS for Outpost package for users of Agnitum Outpost. If you're running NIS 2002 Pro or NIS 2003, you CAN use the AGNIS block lists, however, you must use the ProWAGoN block list utility written by Christian Haagensen to load, remove, and backup ad block lists from NIS. Do NOT attempt to install AGNIS block lists in NIS 2002 Pro or NIS 2003 by manually merging .REG files or using the AGNIS.BAT batch file utility included with AGNIS. Use the ProWAGoN utility instead. Please remember to re-immunize with SpywareBlaster & Spybot S&D. Items considered non-threats or defunct are disabled by IE-Spyad. This post has been edited by Chachazz: Jan 24 2006, 02:06 PM |

QUOTE Hi All: IE-SPYAD (the IE Restricted zone list) and AGNIS (the AtGuard/NIS/NPF/Outpost/AdShield ad block list) have been updated again. They can be downloaded from: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/uiuc/resource.htm The "original" IE-SPYAD includes an install/uninstall utility. IE-SPYAD for ZonedOut requires the ZonedOut utility from FunkyToad: http://www.funkytoad.com/zonedout.htm The AGNIS block lists are compatible with AtGuard 3.x and ALL versions of NIS as well as NPF 2003 and 2004. There are separate versions AGNIS for users of Agnitum Outpost and AdShield. If you're running any of the most recent versions of NIS or NPF, you must use the ProWAGoN utility written by Christian Haagensen to load, remove, and backup block lists: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/uiuc/resource.htm#prowagon If you have questions or comments about IE-SPYAD or any of the AGNIS lists, please don't hesitate to let me know. Best, Eric L. Howes eburger68@myrealbox.com Please remember to re-immunize with SpywareBlaster & Spybot S&D. Items considered non-threats or defunct are disabled by IE-Spyad.
