Yesterday, something started to download itself onto my computer, and I thought I had stopped it. But since then, my browser hasn't been working. I use Internet Explorer browser. Nothing loads, except the "page cannot be displayed" screen. However, I know my internet connection ITSELF, is working, because I can still sign on MSN Messenger, and other programs work. So, of course this must be malware. Here is a HijackThis log!! Please and thank you for help! ^^ [Note, I'm doing this for my friend. I know I have another HJT log thread, but that's me. This is from my friend's computer and I'm helping her get her internet back up and running by posting here. So please help as best as you can.] Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 1:30:50 PM, on 8/16/2007 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16512) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccProxy.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SNDSrvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SPBBC\SPBBCSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCPD-LC\symlcsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate\ALUSchedulerSvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Linksys Wireless-G USB Wireless Network Monitor\WLService.exe C:\Program Files\Linksys Wireless-G USB Wireless Network Monitor\WUSB54Gv2.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Center\SymWSC.exe C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\SoundMAX\SMax4PNP.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\Media Experience\PCMService.exe C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\DVDLauncher.exe C:\Program Files\Musicmatch\Musicmatch Jukebox\mm_tray.exe C:\Program Files\Dell Photo AIO Printer 922\dlbtbmgr.exe C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\mwsoemon.exe C:\Program Files\Dell Photo AIO Printer 922\dlbtbmon.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe C:\Program Files\Linksys Wireless-G USB Wireless Network Monitor\InfoMyCa.exe C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus!
