Laptop in endless restart loop

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that endlessly restarts when I try to boot it up. I had 'System Security' which crippled my laptop, but after removing it was advised to install AVG. I did this and after a full scan was completed it removed all the threats and asked me to restart. I clicked yes and now it gets as far as the black screen before log in options appear before restarting.

Starting and pressing F8 then choosing Last know good configuration doesn't help, and if I choose Safe Mode it will get so far (with lots of writing on the screen, very basic white font) then freeze. The last thing that comes up before freezing is:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\Mup.sys

Any help (if this is recoverable) would be appreciated, as I spent quite a few hours trying to find how to remove 'System Security', only to have this happen. Thanks.

Howdy and welcome to GTG:

Ouch.. I hate to say it but the only fix I have found for this problem is a re-install of your operating system. I do hope you have backed up anything/everything important.

No I haven't got back ups (>.<), how would I go about re-installing my OS?

I have a disc called Toshiba Product Recovery. It has some steps to use it:

1. Insert disc and turn computer off.
2. Turn computer on holding F12.
3. Use cusor keys to select CD-ROM/DVD drive.
4. Follow on-screen instructions.

Is this the right one? (Sorry if this is obvious, I'm computer literate enough, but never done something like this before.)
