The PPPoE connectoid status is 'Connected' but the LAC status is "Limited or No Connectivity" and I am obviously able to surf. Should I be concerned about this? And what does the LAC status indicate? (I have been having problems with my Netgear router and had the PC connect straight to my Huawei modem)

YOU didnt mention if you are currently using wired or wireless. You said you are able to surf the net. That means you shouldnt worry about that anymore. Limited or no connectivity simply means you are not getting a valid ip address. Or in technical term, you are connected but not associated.

I'd like to see some more information. Please follow the steps below.
  1. Go to Start -> Run.
  2. In the Box, type in "cmd".
  3. A black box will appear. Type in: "ipconfig /all".
  4. A lot of information will appear, Please right click the black window and hit mark.
  5. Select every line of text you recieved and hit "enter" to copy.
  6. Then paste it into your next reply.

Regards,
Olrik
