Hello, I made a stupid mistake and I opened a file over my Messenger and it gave me a virus. I quickly closed the program and went to my task manager, but I can't access it. I can't click on the button because it's not highlighted. I ran a few virus scans at Trend Micro and also with my own anti-virus software and it came up with nothing.
There are the following files that will not go away from my Startup options in MSCONFIG: msnsecure.exe (two of these) NvCpl - RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup MSN Messenger is always ON even when I turn it off I don't know how to find out what the .exe file is that is the virus so I can delete it if I can't open my task manager! Please help! ----- Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 11:15:34 AM, on 8/11/2008 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16674) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\SSL VPN Client\agent.exe C:\Program Files\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client\vpnagent.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe C:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\iTechnology\igateway.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrustITM\InoRpc.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrustITM\InoRT.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrustITM\InoTask.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Allume\StuffIt\MXTask.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\CA\eTrustITM\realmon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Allume\StuffIt\mxtask.exe C:\Program Files\UltraMon\UltraMon.exe C:\Program Files\UltraMon\UltraMonTaskbar.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE C:\Program Files\Pando Networks\Pando\pando.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R1 -
