I hate to admit it but I know little of Bluetooth (BT). My Mac PowerBook G4 has BT capability but it doesn't recognize the Logitech V220 wireless mouse. I wanted wireless to free up a USB port. It does work with their BT adapter. Is there a way to have the laptop recognize the V220 without using their adapter? The G4 has heat issue so I have a coolpad taking one USB port. Since my trackpad is messing up I have a mouse plugged into other USB. (I'll save "fixing" the trackpad for another thread!) Much thanks for any help or suggestions offered! bamakodaker |

Hi,
Although I'm still not used to my OS X, I'll still answer your question because this isn't an OS X issue - rather a problem with the mouse. The Logitech V220 Wireless Mouse for Notebooks does not use bluetooth technology. Instead, it uses a 2.8 GHz signal directly from the mouse to the receiver. There is no way to connect your computer to your mouse using bluetooth, because the mouse does not use bluetooth. Sorry! |

Hello,
Thank you for your input. You explained to me what I needed! I had no idea the V220 used 2.8 GHz! Well, I got it cheap ($10) but still didn't open a USB port! Live and learn! bamakodaker |
