First off, what your trying to attempt is practically impossible. There a hundreds of employees that work for that company. One person isn't going to get much done. Not to mention that almost all games are many years of hard work from many developers.
The game isn't coded in HTML anyways. You could make a website yes, but a game, no. Most games are programmed in C++ or Java. |

I had the idea the game was made in Flash (never played it, just some vague idea of what it is). So yes get your self something to write flash in and spend the next 10 years working on it and you might have a reasonable game, though not anywhere as good as Runescape.

If anyone here was good enough at Java programming to program a game like Runescape, they'd be getting paid to do so already.
Learning the combined skills of the programmers who work on Runescape would probably take several lifetimes for one individual to do. And then the development time of an actual game of that caliber would be several decades for one individual, even one so highly skilled. I'm sure if the price was right, you could coax some employees away from developing Runescape and into working for you. I think that would be your best chance. |

I played RuneScape since it pretty much came out. Its made in Java not HTML or Flash. The Game has been running for around 8 years now with tons of people working there to get it how it is now. In all honesty for you to make a game by yourself with all the graphical updates they've been doing recently ide say its pretty much impossible. Now if you were trying to make the original RuneScape which now is called RuneScape Classic then yeah ide say you might have a chance. But the version of Runescape there using now would pretty much be impossible for 1 person to make.

Alternatively there are many game-creation-engines such as OHRRPGCE, Toolkit, Game Maker, RPG Creator &c. to help you create a game with ease. |
