Hello everybody, need help guys. My first time having a "Malware" problem. My OS is vista My windows defender detected a Trojan:Win32/Conhook.I and my computer ran 50% slower, can't work on Internet explorer smoothly, so i quarantine it. But after rebooting, start up message appeared ""error loading" c:/windows/system32/khfDssQG.dll the specified module cannot be found." Iam using Safari right now due to I.explorer just wont work properly ie, freezes, can't check my email, etc. I don't know what to do next. pls help! thanks!

Please have a read at this topic and do all the preliminary steps given.

If you are using Windows Vista, or if you are using XP and already have Service Pack 1a or later, please ignore Step Three: Windows Updates and continue with Step Four: Reboot - Test

It should handle about 70% of your malware problem.. Should the problem still exist, please post a fresh HijackThis log here as shown in the Step Five: Posting a Hijack This Log.. Thank you smile.gif

ok so i did what you ask me and it seems to be ok... no pop ups, search with malwarebyte and avast and it is showing none. thanks for helping me out.
