I cannot access certain processes like My Computer, Control Panel, or the Recycle Bin. Whenever I click on one of them, an error pops up:
Sys Fader: explorer.exe...the memory could not be written. This has been bugging me for a while now and I can't seem to fix the problem. I did a scan with Ad-Aware but that is not helping much... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a copy of my HiJackThis log... I understand that many people on this forum have had similar problems, but I'm very hesitant to do anything until someone with some level of expertise in this matter gives me some advice. Thanks in advance!

I just want to add that my little problem hasn't gone away on it's own and I would still like a little help here! I don't think that's too much to ask...

I'm having the same problem as others: Sys Fader: explorer.exe error.
I cannot get into My Computer, Search, the Control Panel etc. Anyone know what's causing this problem and how I correct it? I did download Microsofts Ser Pak 2, and have had nothing but problems since. I'm really in need of assistance. I'm running XP operating system. Thank you. |
