Hi there,
Sorry for the delay - for the future though, replying to your own thread will make you wait longer - we tend to look for threads with 0 replies. Please only scan with the tools I ask of you. Click on Start, click on Run Copy and paste the following in bold in the open window and then click OK "%userprofile%\desktop\dss.exe" /config This will open up DSS configuration
Click Scan DSS will now run again when finished Please post back both logs that open in notepad Main txt and extra txt |

Hi there,
I'm not seeing anything bad in your logs... are you still getting those warnings from AVG? Your Windows Internal Firewall is enabled, you'll need to disable it since you are already running COMODO, take a look here on how to do so http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283673 Let's get one more scan to make sure everything is OK. Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Under Main choose: Select All Click the Empty Selected button.
Click the Empty Selected button. NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click the Empty Selected button. NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt. For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu. Then, Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7. Once done, uninstall any older versions of Java through add or remove programs. Namely these: Java™ 6 Update 2 Java™ 6 Update 3 Java™ 6 Update 5 Go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

It seems that the problem has been fixed, as avg isn't finding anything new anymore and kaspersky didn't find anything either. Is there anyway I can easily remove all the programs i downloaded(atf cleaner, dss, combofix, and anything created by these programs)? Thanks for your help.

Good to hear
Click START then RUN Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK ![]() Notice the space between the x and / -- That needs to be there. & Now please download OTCleanIt.
This will remove the tools we used during the process of cleaning your computer. Now that your are clean, you'll want to stay that way. Some important things that you should keep in mind in order to protect yourself:
I have listed two programs to boost your security while using no resources.
Also consider using an alternative web browser. Two big named ones, both far superior to Internet Explorer in terms of security and performance, would be Firefox and Opera. Make a habit of scanning your computer for viruses every week or so and backing up important files regularly. Please also read Expert Tony Klein's excellent article: How I got Infected in the First Place Please post back and tell me if everything is OK, so that I may mark this thread as Resolved. |
