Download no_sound_in_browsers.reg file to your desktop.
Double click on it, and allow registry merge.
Restart computer.

Just tried that and no luck.
Having looked at similar topics I typed sndvol32 into the run command and received a message saying no active mixer devices are available I have checked in device manager and there doesn't seem to be a problem with any of the audio devices- I don't know whether this is relevant? I have also tried reinstalling flash.

No I don't think so I had turned them off just tried turning them on and not getting anything. I have noticed that under the sound and audio box from the control panel, looking at the volume tab it says there is no audio device however the hardware tab says everything is working properly.

You can try Windows repair: http://www.geekstogo...ws-XP-t138.html, or you can try to reinstall Windows: http://www.michaelst...nxpinstall.html, or you can buy cheap card.
