I have a HP Pavilion a1223w Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

My Graphics Driver is Intel® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family Driver Version 6.14.10.4421

I have Photoshop CS4 It can start up just fine but when I Click File>New and when I click ok on the new pop up screen it takes 3 seconds then turns off without a message. It happens every time unless I go to File>Open and open a picture first, how am I suppose to fix this problem?
