Heya and welcome to Geeks to Go, mattiscool, my name is Guse and I’ll be helping you today.
Please print these instructions out or copy and paste them to notepad as the internet may not be accessible through all of these fixes. This cleaning may be a several step process. Before we get started, I’d like you to download some programs for me: Cleanup! (Install, but don’t run) First off, let’s run an online virus scan at Kaspersky Online. Post the resulting log in your next response. Then, let’s get to removing some of the infection. Run HijackThis and place check marks next to the following entries in bold: R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {FAA356E4-D317-42a6-AB41-A3021C6E7D52} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dX8jKC2h$v ùõš/‚²‘Æ C:\Program Files\ISTsvc\istsvc.exe] C:\WINDOWS\fgfflc.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Ozukdr] C:\Program Files\Fznqds\Qicdmw.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VIFa0A] C:\WINDOWS\fgfflc.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [version] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Wthvwm.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [secure] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Rfhokg.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [msxct] msxct.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Shellapi32] svcnet.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IST Service] C:\Program Files\ISTsvc\istsvc.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\system32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART O15 - Trusted Zone: http://ny.contentmatch.net (HKLM) O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} (Web P2P Installer) – O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.real.com/267a0ff105c106...ip/RdxIE601.cab Make sure that you’ve visually double-checked that those (and only those) entries have been selected and click Fix Now, Boot into Safe Mode: Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode. Now, let’s remove some of the offending programs… go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs. Find the following programs and remove them (if they exist): eXact Search Bar Integrated Search Technologies (or ISTSvc) P2P Networking DealHelper Then, using Windows Explorer, find and delete the following files and folders (if they exist): C:\WINDOWS\Dhbrowser.exe C:\WINDOWS\DHP.dll C:\WINDOWS\Dhsvr.exe C:\WINDOWS\DHUpdt.exe C:\WINDOWS\Dealhlpr.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\Wthvwm.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Rfhokg.exe C:\WINDOWS\fgfflc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\P2P Networking\ (<~~~ entire folder) C:\Program Files\Fznqds\Qicdmw.exe C:\Program Files\ISTsvc\ (<~~~ entire folder) Run CleanUp! and click CleanUp!. Let this run through, it could take some time. Reboot into Normal mode. Lastly, we need to reset your restore points: To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account. 1. Turn off System Restore. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Check Turn off System Restore. Click Apply, and then click OK. 2. Reboot. 3. Turn ON System Restore. On the Desktop, right-click My Computer. Click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*. Click Apply, and then click OK. How to Turn On and Turn Off System Restore in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;310405 You’re almost there! Would you please run me another HijackThis log and post it here (along with the online scan log) so we can see what’s left on that machine (if anything)? |

I'd feel better about this if we ran the online scan. If you're really opposed to that, we can do the local one, but certain types of malware attack locally installed virus scanners.

Hey there... don't worry, I haven't left.
You have a recurring file on your machine that I don't recognize. I'd like you to follow this link: link and type or paste the following text in the box C:\WINDOWS\fgfflc.exe then click Submit. Copy and paste those results to this thread. Also, I'd still like that Kaspersky scan log if you have it availiable. |

Hmm... it probably kept reloading the same page because the file I was talking about isn't there anymore. Must have been a mixup with the last HijackThis log.
You're on XP, so it's pretty easy to find out what's eating your CPU. If you know it's at 100%, then you know how to get to Task Manager. Go to task manager (by hitting CTRL + ALT + DELETE) and click on the Processes Tab. Then, click the header that says "CPU" (just above the list) twice and that should sort the list in decending order depending on CPU usage. If that doesn't work, just visually scan through the process list until you find the culprit. Just reply here and tell me what's eating all your CPU. |
