Hi, I really need help please, there is some spyware I have on my computer that always says that I have spyware and that I have to purcharse it. The name is Brave-Sentry.

My computer and internet are really slow too and my wallpaper is now blue... help me please.

Hello dragues sorry for the delay

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log back here for me please.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Hi, thanx for answer me. Don't worry, I know we all have other things to do.

I'm having new problems with my pc. For example, when windows starts the desktop icons don't appear for a few minutes. Also, when I start windows, I can't use internet explorer and msn messenger for a while, if I click to open the program nothing happens. The strangest thing is that only with this 2 programs, I can't use anyother without a problem.

Hi, thanx for answer me. Don't worry, I know we all have other things to do.

I'm having new problems with my pc. For example, when windows starts the desktop icons don't appear for a few minutes. Also, when I start windows, I can't use internet explorer and msn messenger for a while, if I click to open the program nothing happens. The strangest thing is that only with this 2 programs, I can't use anyother without a problem.

Download Rustbfix from one of these locations:
http://www.uploads.ejvindh.net/rustbfix.exe
http://uploads.ejvindh.andymanchesta.com/Rustbfix.exe
...and save it to your desktop.

Double click on rustbfix.exe to run the tool. If a Rustock.b-infection is found, you will shortly hereafter be asked to reboot the computer. The reboot will probably take quite a while, and perhaps 2 reboots will be needed. But this will happen automatically. After the reboot 2 logfiles will open (%root%\avenger.txt & %root%\rustbfix\pelog.txt). Post the content of these logfiles along with a new HijackThis log.

Hi, I had a problem. I did what you said, but in the second reboot, when the logfiles apperead, I got a blue screen. This is not the first time, I think it's cause my RAM is damaged or something like that.

The problem is that I couldn't copy the logfiles, but apperead the two logfiles you said and I saw information. I think I was infected 'cause now, I clicked again, and only this apperead and this time there was no reboot. The first time I did, my computer reboot twice.

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

I have a problem. I can't use now windows in normal mode. Windows starts, and in 10 or 15 seconds, windows crashes and I got a blue screen and it says that windows has to close to avoid damages in my computer. And then there is some kinda counter that says something about "fisics memory". I really don't know how to translate cause it's in spanish.

I tried it several times, and I got like 10 times the same blue screen. Could it be a spyware or virus problem? I have to use windows now in safe mode.

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

I had to run combofix in safe mode, I went to the kitchen for something to eat, and when I returned, windows was in normal mode with the log opened and apparently the blue screen didn't appear again. This problem was part of malware?

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Hi, everything seems to be ok, it's much better, internet and my computer is really fast. But I think not as fast as before, or maybe is just my imagination.
