Hello,
I've followed all the instructions in the "Start Here" forum. Ewido continues to find a virus but can't remove it. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. Here is my log: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 6:48:57 PM, on 11/6/2005 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccProxy.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\ISSVC.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SNDSrvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SPBBC\SPBBCSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXBCES.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXPPS.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\AOL\ACS\AOLacsd.exe C:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoctrl.exe C:\Program Files\ewido\security suite\ewidoguard.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel Application Accelerator\iaantmon.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\Program Files\Analog Devices\Core\smax4pnp.exe C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel Application Accelerator\iaanotif.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Modem Event Monitor\IntelMEM.exe C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\DVDLauncher.exe C:\Program Files\Musicmatch\Musicmatch Jukebox\mmtask.exe C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\RealPlay.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\issch.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\PROGRA~1\VERIZO~1\SUPPOR~1\SMARTB~1\MotiveSB.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\WkUFind.exe C:\Program Files\HP\hpcoretech\hpcmpmgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wdfmgr.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpztsb10.exe C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Center\SymWSC.exe C:\Program Files\Dell Support\DSAgnt.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\AdBlocking\NSMdtr.exe C:\Program Files\Webroot\Spy Sweeper\SpySweeper.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\wkcalrem.exe C:\Program Files\Verizon Online\SupportCenter\bin\mpbtn.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\alg.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE C:\Program Files\HJT\HijackThis.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\NOTEPAD.EXE R1 - Thanks for your help! I followed all of the steps successfully up until the removal of the ddcca, accdd, ddcyy, yycdd instances from the System32 folder. When I tried to delete the first instance, it told me it could not be deleted because it was in use. I should note that I also have "ewido" installed as per the pre-post instructions. When I rebooted after following the safe mode steps, it popped up immediately telling me that it had detected a Trojan file. Does ewido need to be disabled like Spybot and Spysweeper?
Thanks again, TP |

I was kinda hoping to do this all in one go. No problem, we'll do it in a few steps then.
Please post me the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HijackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder |

Please remove this folder:
C:\Program Files\MyWaySA If you rerun Panda, it should give you a clean report. Please let me know if everything is okay now. EDIT: As there has been no reply from the original poster for more than ten days this topic is now closed. If you are the original poster and still need assistance, please send me a PM.
