I have a couple of websites with a few minor problems. 1.. I have used Frontpage to design this website, and cannot change the web editor now because everything is set up for frontpage. Anyway the main problem is that the side border has a line beside it..but I cannot make the line go all the way down the page...If there is more writing in the content on one page, it looks bad because there is no line continuing to the bottom. If you look at a couple pages it is all different. I would like to put a line that extends down the page separating the left border and the contents. Please check out my Computer Help site. I know it is not the best layout and all that, but I have no time to redesign it. But if you do have any tips I will save them for later. Thanks in advance |

I think you have one major problem. Your using Frontpage. It is a really bad program for creating a web site, a typical M$ thing. Your never going to get the page to be valid http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&am....tips4pc.com%2F
It don't know how you do it in Frontpage but you need to change the thing that line is on. I have no way of identify what item you need to make it on as the markup is a complete mess. If you must use a WYSIWYG editor to make a site I recommend you use Nvu (or its nonofficial upgrade http://www.kompozer.net/). I do all of my sites in a text editor. If you find the time to learn it is the best way to go. This post has been edited by Michael: Jan 21 2008, 05:39 PM |

If I was redoing it I would be dropping all of your layout and starting again. It would be quicker than trying to fix what is there.
I did a similar deal once. Except I knew the person very well before hand, and his site has a Google Page Rank of 6 (you have 4) and much higher traffic according to Alexa http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_...ils/tips4pc.com |
