Adware/Malware Protector2008

This is the name it has... but alos has this code [rhcjOnjOenej]

I have done everything I can do...gone to add/remove program...it won't go, it has also caused my "restore program" not to work...so I can't go to a better pc time...

Also I foolishly opened an e-mail that I thought was from my friend...instead on closer look it was a crazy thing called "Angelina Jolie's Free Video"....now my wallpaper is blue with a big notice...Warning Spyware detected on your computer etc. etc.

laughing.gif at myself for being so stupid!
Please can someone help?

I tried to call IBM for help. but they no longer help Canadian consumers...Thank you IBM!

I only got back on the net two days ago, annd I do have PANDA virus control totally updated.

Hello Maddie, my name is fenzodahl512 and welcome to Geekstogo..

Please have a read at this topic and do all the preliminary steps given.

If you are using Windows Vista, or if you are using XP and already have Service Pack 1a or later, please ignore Step Three: Windows Updates and continue with Step Four: Reboot - Test

It should handle about 70% of your malware problem.. Should the problem still exist, please post a fresh HijackThis log here as shown in the Step Five: Posting a Hijack This Log.. Thank you smile.gif

Regards

Dear fenzodahl512,

Thank you for your post... I have already printed out all 8 pages of advice for this problem, tried most of the advice but without relief!

So I began to check everything in my computer line by line and finally in "System 32" I found two of the files causing all the problems....

1. is a bitmap, this is the blue screenn saver that takes over your pc...this I could send to recycle bin....

2. the other is nastier... looks like a pc monitor 60.0 KB this one will not allow me to send to recycle bin..."Access denied" etc. etc......why?
Try and try but no luck.

Trying and trying to fix this..but without luck.

I'm so exhausted from all this I'm turning in early.
Have a good night, and thank you again.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) from HERE or HERE and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • Please let your firewall allow the scanning/downloading process.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

If you are using Vista, you need to right-click at dss.exe icon and choose Run as Administrator
