Hi,
I followed the complete procedure before posting the hijack and the ewido report. It seems that ewido cannot remove Spyware.Look2Me. Also, every time I open a browser window, an extra window is opened with an ad on spyware removal. So here is the report:

The problem isn't solved yet. I get pop-ups about every couple of minutes and everytime I open a new browser. It mostly looks like this:

OK this will probably take a few steps to get cleaned up

. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe,
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."...then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter. It will process then start. Your desktop and icons will disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, it will be ready for a reboot. Press any key to reboot. After the reboot notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
If after the reboot the log does not open double click on it in the l2mfix folder.

Strange Have you used spysweeper before?

Well, before contacting you guys, I tried a lot of stuff to get that thing off my pc. So yes.

well unfortunately thats the only thing that will remove this infection other than the tool I just gave you . So I
will have to write up a manual fix which will take me a little while so I will post back when I'm done. It doesn't look like there is too much else in the log to clear. If you would could you not reboot the computer until I tell you too. The files will change names after a reboot and I also need you to run this again and post it please

then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe,
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."...then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.

No problem its no trouble . Just bear with me this may take a few tries

Please download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop and run it.

At the bottom right of the main screen, click on the arrow to the right of System Process
(The area is to the left of the yellow triangle.)
Select the following entry: rundll32.exe
Now click the yellow triangle to End Task

**Very Important****
This process you just killed sometimes will re-spawn so wait a few seconds, and check again for rundll32.exe.
When/If you see it again please select it and click the yellow triangle to End Task once again.
Repeat this process until it does not show back up


Highlight the entries below and press the Ctrl and the C key at the same time to copy them to the clipboard:

Click on the File menu of Pocket KillBox and select: Paste from Clipboard

In the Full Path of File to Delete box you should see the first entry.
Use the down arrow to see the rest of the files.

Make sure C:\Windows\System32\guard.tmp appears on the list.

If not, click on the arrow to the right of System Process
Once again select the following entry: rundll32.exe
Click the yellow triangle to End Task

(End Task on rundll32.exe until C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\guard.tmp is on the list!)


With C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\guard.tmp up on the killbox screen press the button with a red circle and a white X (Delete File button)

Now please click just keep deleting files like that until you get to a file that "could not be deleted"
--Now click the Delete on Reboot option and then click the red circle
--Click Yes at the confirmation message that files will be deleted on next reboot
--Click Yes at the request to reboot


After the reboot open the l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread with another HJT log.
