ohci1394.sys is related to firewire driver.

I am wondering where the BSOD is at through all this? I have seen event viewer and whocrashed but no BSOD with a stop error parameter yet.
Is the system running slow or crashing?
Any one program causing a problem?
Is the system shutting down on it's own or restarting on it's own?
Have you tried a different cdrom drive?


Download and install EVEREST
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.


DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING UNDER THE LINE THAT SAYS "DEBUG- PCI"

Actually its doing better now, is going faster thanks to your help, but sometimes still restarts by itself, but now my keyboard doesnt respond normal, like when I press on the buttons it seems like they dont work or it gets stuck, is a wireless logitech keyboard

Download Speedfan (The download link is in the first line of the second paragraph), and install it. Once it's installed, run the program and post here the information it shows. The information I want you to post is the stuff that is circled in the example picture I have attached.

It actually looks like a problem with the temp sensors. To make sure open up Everest again. Go to Report -> Report Wizard -> Custom Selection -> Uncheck everything except Sensor (under computer) -> Plain text -> Post everything above the Debug - PCI line.

Go to the directory C:\Windows\Minidump
Make sure that hidden files are visible
Then zip up the files in that directory and attach the .zip archive to your next post.

Issue one:
System Memory 448 MB (PC2700 DDR SDRAM)

You should consider increasing your memory to one gig. To check it and see what it is and how much maximum you can install please follow the next step.


Go HERE and run the Crucial online scanner.
This will give you the exact memory configuration for your system. You do not have to buy the memory from there, but write down the information and if you need assistance in purchasing the upgrade memory GTG can assist with suggestions also.


Second Issue:

I believe that top temperature is your CPU and that is very hot. If this is a desktop and it's not under warranty I suggest you do the following steps.

Open your system up by removing the side panel on the left as you are looking at the front of the system.
Make sure you are grounded by touching the outside of the case before reaching into the system.
I need you to check the following 3 fans..
CPU: This one is on the MOBO and sits on top of the CPU
Second Case Cooling Fan... this is either in the front or the back of the system
PSU Fan... this should be fine but check the vents to make sure airflow is good

The most important one is the CPU fan. Make sure when the system is on that it is turning and not clogged with dust. If you have a can of compressed air then blow the fan off and clean the inside of the system out. Make sure there is nothing impeding or laying on the cpu fan.

Are the fans all turning?
Was there anything slowing the cpu fan down?
Rerun Speedfan and post the temperatures again.
This time please take a screenshot and attach it to your next reply

To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard. It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
Now go to Start and then to All Programs
Scroll to Accessories and then click on Paint
In the Empty White Area click and hold the CTRL key and then click the V
Go to the File option at the top and click on Save as
Save as file type JPEG and save it to your Desktop


Attach it to your next reply
Below where you type your reply and if you are using the Add Reply andnot the Fast Reply you will see the Browse button.
Click that and click on the file you saved from the screenshot.
Now click on the upload button next to the browse button
The system will upload the screenshot and if done correctly you will see a message that says Upload successful and is available from the 'Manage Current Attachments' menu.
When this is done click on Add Reply button below the reply you just made
This should show the screenshot like below.
