I had this before, and I did something (I just ran a program) and it fixed it. Something with the windows files.

Well what do I do? Anyone have that program or another fix? Yes its enabled, yes it was working like a few days ago and I didn't really do anything to my computer since. It has no viruses or anything, just the windows stuff which always messes up for me.

It says System Restore at the top, with the minimize, close and maximize buttons, but nothing in the window, just a white box.

It also does the same thing with my "User Accounts" in the Control Panel. Enabled but not working. :tazz: Why?

;) I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything wrong.

:) please. I heard something about "sr.inf" in the INF folder in Windows (hidden), can someone tell me if this can help?

Some dlls might be missing.
Follow the steps below to look for missing\corrupt dlls:
Start->Run. Type cmd. Press Enter.
In the Command-Prompt Window, type sfc /SCANONCE. Press Enter.
Follow the instructions by the System File Checker.
(Note:The scan will done on next reboot, so u will be prompted for a reboot. Restart and follow the instructions)

Okay - Real Update here:

Problem 1:
I need to know how to enable Javascript, Java, and ActiveX.

Problem 2:
Zone Alarm loads, but the TrueVector Internet Security Service is shut down. I don't know how to turn it on/where to.

Problem 3:
System Restore showing the white screen - possibly linked to Problem 1 about enabling those.

Problem 4:
AVG Is finding lots of viruses, (don't know how, haven't gotten one in ages). Something like winkey.dll in System32, is that safe to delete? There's a lot of trojans in System32.

When I click on heal it says you must restart. Then when I do it says it can't be found or its restricted and it won't do anything. What the... :'(

Problem 4:
"fservice.exe" in Windows/System32 is missing. Maybe because of the AVG scan. How do I get it back?

Alchemist11,
Before we jump to enabling JavaScript and ActiveX, lets make sure whether that is the problem.
I'll give u two other Windows applications which use scripting, see if they work propely:
Help and Support Center
User Accounts (In contol panel)

After I typed in both .dll files a box appeared that said they both succeded, but it still doesn't work... Too bad I can't do a system restore to fix the system restore application. I'm about to unholster my forty and place a round in the center of my case... what's a "registry restore"?
