I have bad drivers, if you think that might be the cause of it
I'm having quite some difficulty locating where to locate and update for these, though.
I updated my SFX card driver earlier, but that's all I could find.
VIA Bus Master IDE Controller
Wireless-G PCI Adapter #2
VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter
VIA SATA RAID Controller
All of those have bad or out of date drivers. Will they affect anything?

The latest driver for your card is here http://game.amd.com/...p=xp/radeonx-xp
And the VIA drivers are here http://www.viaarena....I...&CatID=1070
Try that and let me know how you get on

My internet browser(s) operate terribly slow, my computer runs every program with a diverse and random amount of lag, games are virtually un-playable, and any program that uses the internet runs like I'm on dial-up

Next could you open task manager and see which process is using the most cpu cycles, while you are experiencing a slow down

Nothing is going above 5 cycles, except firefox which I close when its not being used.
Task manager, wscntfy, explorer, system, and csrss are the only things I see going above 2-3 occasionally.
And if I'm playing a game It's up to about.. 9-10
And system idle process is at 78-99 of course

I am afraid we are now going beyond my expertise
I would recommend that you re-post in the XP section http://www.geekstogo...2003-NT-f5.html as the technical experts are there. I am sorry that I could not provide a definitive solution to your problem
For the malware side
Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
Double click OTMoveIt once again and you should see a CleanUp! button, press that button, you may get prompted by your firewall that OTMoveIt wants to contact the internet, allow this, a cleanup.txt will be downloaded, a message dialog will ask you if you want to proceed with the cleanup process, click Yes. This will delete all the tools you have downloaded plus itself
Now to get you off to a good start we will re-set your restore points so that all the bad stuff is gone for good. Then if you need to restore at some stage you will be clean. There are several ways to reset your your restore point but this is my method:
1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.
2. On the dialogue box that appears select Create a Restore Point
3. Click NEXT
4. Enter a name e.g. Clean
5. Click CREATE
You now have a clean restore point, to get rid of the bad ones:
1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > Disk Cleanup.
2. In the Drop down box that appears select your main drive e.g. C
3. Click OK
4. The System will do some calculation and the display a dialogue box with TABS
5. Select the More Options Tab.
6. At the bottom will be a system restore box with a CLEANUP button click this
7. Accept the Warning and select OK again, the program will close and you are done
Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free program:
To keep your operating system up to date visit
To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this article by Tony Klien: So how did I get infected in the first place?
Keep safe
