I have downloaded a game compiled in an archived. There are 6 EXE files within the game's folder (but are required for the game) that are "infected" with Trojan horse Dropper.Generic.FWK. I ran a quick file scan with AVG Professional 7.5, as I always do with freshly downloaded files, and it reported these exe's are infected. I downloaded and ran the newest Trojan Remover and it found no infections within the files. Also, Spyware Doctor doesn't detect any infection either. It's only AVG that does. All 6 of these files are needed for the game to work, so I am stuck. Is there really an infection? If so, how can I clean the files and remove the trojans while keeping the files? With Grisoft's VCleaner (which also reported no infections) I have been able to "clean" infected files while still keeping them intact and fully working. (At one point I had the Win32 Jeebo infection, and VCleaner took care of all infected files without screwing up the files or deleting them) What should I do?
