I have two computers connected to a wireless router and modem. On one computer i am using a external USB wireless connecting device and on the little flashing screen in the system tray it tell me the number of bytes i have sent and receive. On my other computer using a internal pci wireless card it tells me the data transfered in packets... can i change this to the number of bytes instead?

Thanks

Well, that information is provided to you by the software either houses in Windows or the Program that was installed with your wireless equipment. If using a program that was included with wireless equipment, then you would have to check that program. If it's a Windows based connection manager, then I don't believe so. You may try getting a resource kit or something and using it for the Network Monitor, netmon.exe, It contains all kinds of information about monitoring your network.

Hope this helps..
