OK the freezing could be a virus problem (that is being addressed with malware tech)
Since it happened before then it really has nothing to do with what Azral is doing.
PC's can be frustrating but unless there is a hardware issue I may have missed then we have to look at the software side of things which is what Azral is doing by having you run all these logs and scans.
I'm sorry this is so frustrating but it is something that we try not to make any worse for you.
We sometimes seem like we are repeating steps but it is for the correct resolution to the problem.
There has been other techs look at this topic and if they found something they would have posted to you.

I feel sheepish right now.

And I feel bad for thinking that Azral doesnt know what he's doing.

I'll shut up !!!

I also know it can be frustrating. We need you to continue with the malware forum because malware and virus's will create weird issues.
Some programs won't function properly and will in turn create other headaches.
When Azral clears you of malware, then we can start looking at other possible scenarios.

And by the way, Azral is being guided by specialists. Before he can post a response to you, he has to have his respose cleared by his mentor.

FYI: I did notice that he did have you clear out some unidentified files and a toolbar that had no files associated with it. This could (I say could) be the IE problem with Dell.

Runner:

You and Rshaffer are the GREATEST, I'm surprise you haven't kicked me off this site by now. whistling.gif I must tell you that it never crossed my mind that Azral was under a mentor, and other SEASONED techs were watching, no idea. My only plight is that, this PC run as smoothly as possible.

Thank both of you 4 keeping me grounded .... surrender.gif

Nope no way we would kick anyone because as I said before we are not here to just resolve issues but to also teach you and others. By doing this you will understand better the next time you may have something you need help with.
Azral is a GeekU Senior and is nearing the end of his training.
His assistance is monitored by a teacher or mentor to make sure he is giving the correct advice and also the best advice. So in other words you are being assisted by at least two experts in the Malware Forum.
I am a staff member on the Tech side.
123Runner is a member like yourself but has been assisting alot and gives sound advice.
We are all volunteers so real life can sometimes can get in the way wink.gif

Hmmm well since the mentor is essexboy now i can say with 100% that you are in great hands.
essexboy is the Malware\Moderator\GeekU Teacher that assisted me when I first came to GTG back in February with my infection. Azarl is going to be great at what he is doing.
Relax and just ask like you did with me.
We are in no hurry and everything works at your speed. yeah.gif
As for the little smileys look right above where you type in your message. see the little smiley face? That's the place to get them.

Hello essexboy:

After Rshaffer and 123Runner explained some things to me, I'm alright with Azral. I have to confess, I was a little crazy there for a minute. Before things were explained to me, I pictured Azral as this 20ish year old Tech and guess my thoughts got the best of me.

Thank you for your reassurance, I greatly appreciate.

rshaffer:

When I click on the EMOTIONS above where I type, the box opens really fast, and wont stay in place where I can even see them, in fact, I found the emotions on my Desktop. Is there a glitch in this system???

Not sure because when you click on the box it should open a new window that is separate from the browser.
I normally drag the box off the browser because once you start typing the box will disappear behind browser window.
I also see in the malware topic that there were some problems found. Azral is doing great and it seems he is getting close to getting your system back to being healthy and happy.

rshaffer:

Question???

After the issues are completed with my PC, will you please help me with Christopher's PC. I dont know if you remember the PC we were working on, but I have it to finish the troubleshooting.

It was his "D" drive and I wasnt confortable doing the BOOTABLE disc.

Also, how do the TECH's know when a REPLY is posted, do you have to look for it the same way I do, or is there a bell that rings to tell you, there's an incoming???

Thank U !!!
