Vista Doesn't Recognize My Joystick!

I have a Saitek X45 joystick; Vista doesn't seem to recognize it as a game controller; it's a "Human Interface Device". Anybody know how to help? I'm trying to use MS Flight Simulator X and it doesn't show the stick as a control option.

The device driver supplied with the joystick may not be compatible with Vista (many XP device drivers won't work on Vista). You'll need to visit the Saitek website and see if they have a Vista-compatible driver for your joystick.

There might be some kind of problem with the fact it has a seperate throttle, means it has a seperate cable? Vista will not support 'gameport' connections because it is too old fashioned. Have you had it working on Vista before?
