OS: Windows XP

I am having some trouble with our other computer. We needed to reinstall windows XP. After we did that we could no longer connect to the internet. I thought this was because we messed up when we reinstalled Windows, but we reinstalled it a second time and still nothing! I have done some troubleshooting and have found that there is no network adapter listed in the Device Manager. I am not sure what else I may be missing. I haven't a clue how this happened or how to get one. Is this something that can be downloaded? Isn't this something that should've been on the restore disc?

We used the restore CD that came with the computer. We don't have any back up discs (yeah, I know STUPID!!) So I am clueless on what to do at this point. I am getting really frustrated, can someone please help me? We can't connect at all on that computer so I can't do any checks online for drivers or whatever to see if they are compatiable with windows so I'm afraid of screwing it up even more. Please help me.

Use a PC to download and save to CDR so you can install it on this PC

Download and install Everest Home Edition

Run the programme, click + next to computer then summary

Look on the right for network / network adapter

Install the drivers for it

I downloaded the Everest Home and installed it on the other computer. I found where it said Network Adapter, but I couldn't figure out how to install the drivers for it. I didn't see anything that said install drivers.

It's an Emachines T3410. Here's a link to get more of the specifics on it.
