What are the risks/consequences of encrypting my hard drive?

OS: Windows Vista 64-bit



It's safer against hackers and the **aa right? But would it mean an extra hurdle to go through everytime I wanted to play a music track on WMP or upload a picture to flickr or download and install an app? Is it worth it? Thanks, hope this is the right board blushing.gif
